Inspiring Films

The following films are examples of different approaches to documentaries. They vary in production value but all have an engaging, clear story which is the foundation to a good film.

Miss Landmine. Recently broadcast on Channel 4, featuring 4 short documentaries on female land mine victims and how they have regained their confidence through a beauty pageant. A good example of one interpretation of Independence, as the women have gained control over their lives again through partaking in the pageant.

The Bicycle. To give you an idea of how four filmmakers interpreted the same brief, four entirely different ways. Additionally there are interviews with the filmmakers, detailing their individual processes and approaches to pitching. 12.00 Total
